Today Your Child Learned...
Dear Parent & Guardian,
We are excited to share that your child has completed the following PSHE lesson. Check out our overview and top tips to support their development...
Today’s PSHE Lesson
Problem-Solving And Resourcefulness (How Does Being Resourceful Help Us?)
The internet has opened up a world of information and way to research for us all. More and more we turn to the computer for online information when we need to find out about something. For most children today, looking in books to find information comes well below using the internet. We still need to have the skills to be resourceful and find information for ourselves from a variety of sources, not just technology.
Go Above & Beyond
Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons...
- Encourage your child to find information or answers to questions by themselves.
- Teach them not to rely on others for solutions or information and promote the skill of being resourceful so they see that finding out for themselves is a valuable skill that they can use anywhere, anytime.
- Ensure that they have access to a variety of resources like the library or books that they can use alongside technology to find information that they need.
- Teach them that by being resourceful and by researching answers to questions and information, can help them to practise the skill of problem-solving.
When it comes to your child’s development, teachers and parents are better together! By aligning our goals and education techniques, we can better realise our vision of positively preparing your child for their future.
