Today Your Child Learned...
Dear Parent & Guardian,
We are excited to share that your child has completed the following PSHE lesson. Check out our overview and top tips to support their development...
Today’s PSHE Lesson
Nutritional Values (Choosing Healthy Food Options)
We all enjoy different foods and have our own favourites. Sometimes choices that we make aren’t necessarily the healthiest options, but we know that if we eat these in moderation or as an occasional treat, we should still find that our usual healthy eating routine will keep our bodies working properly. Takeaways and eating out can become more common as our busy lifestyles take over and we find that we’re in too much of a rush to cook at home. We can still eat healthily if we order in or eat out.
Go Above & Beyond
Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons...
- Look at when you eat together as a family.
- Do you eat larger meals in the evenings or at lunchtime, do you change your eating habits or do you have a routine, are you more relaxed at weekends?
- Planning healthy meals for the week ahead will cut down the thinking time spent on what to feed the family.
- If you’re out at a restaurant or thinking of ordering in, are there healthy options? Could you choose these more often? Modelling healthier choices to your child may encourage them to choose the same.
When it comes to your child’s development, teachers and parents are better together! By aligning our goals and education techniques, we can better realise our vision of positively preparing your child for their future.
