Today’s PSHE Lesson
How To Write A CV (Why Having a CV Is Important)
Applying for a job is probably one of the most exciting but nerve-wracking times in our life. We want to make a good impression, get our introduction to the company right and make sure that the information they receive is encouraging, informative, reliable and honest. Having an up-to-date prepared CV is important if we want to be ready to apply for a job that suddenly appeals to us.
Go Above & Beyond
Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons...
- Look at jobs advertised online,in the newspaper or through an agency and talk about what is on offer with your child.
- Look at the qualifications, skills and requirements that the company is asking for and discuss how you might demonstrate these.
- Show your child how they might apply for a Saturday job that is advertised to help them practise the process of writing a CV.
- Talk about the type of language you would use and information that you would include when writing a cover letter and CV.
When it comes to your child’s development, teachers and parents are better together! By aligning our goals and education techniques, we can better realise our vision of positively preparing your child for their future.
